Set off the beaten track on a quiet residential road, five minutes from Clifton Triangle, is the characterful, traditional Eldon House, a small pub offering a wholesome menu and a range of excellent quality ales, lagers, ciders and wines. The Eldon House reopened in April 2006 under new ownership, closely linked with Bath Ales. The decor is light and airy with many features being restored to their natural wood. There's usually a diverse selection of music playing, such as rhythm and blues, motown, reggae, folk, acoustic, up-and-coming artists and so on. Live acoustic music sessions happen every Sunday.
